Ingredients:
- 1 pizza dough
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 475F 245C
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness
Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce
Tear fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the cheese
Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing
Serve hot and enjoy
